Biomass boilers
Biomass boilers are devices where waste predominantly originating from agricultural production is transformed into heat by combustion. The source of such fuel may be parts of plants which are not used or by-products, i.e., waste remaining after agricultural processing. This is sometimes a plant part which is used specifically for combustion. Also, there are biofuel sources of animal origin, but they are less frequently used.

Panonske elektrane Novi Sad (EPS) District Heating
This is a very interesting technical solution. The boiler does not have a combustion grate. Combustion takes place in a cyclone burner, and the hot gases then go to the main combustion chamber. It proved to be an excellent solution for loose and light materials, such as sunflower husks and wood chips.
